Searching for 2 Year Nursing Programs?

In today’s economy, many potential students are looking for a quicker way to enter the workforce. In the nursing profession, there are many 2 year nursing programs that allow students to start making a nurses’ salary in a fraction of the time.

2 Year Nursing Programs

Two year nursing programs vary from traditional bachelor’s degree programs due to their lack of focus on the liberal arts. With a two year program, there are few liberal arts classes and students start their nursing classes, clinical, and patient assignments more quickly. Depending on the program, sometimes students start their nursing classes in the very first semester.

There is a common misconception that you need a bachelor of nursing degree (BSN) in order to become licensed. This is not the case, however. A two year program will provide you with the theory and practice that you need to take the licensing exam for your particular state.

Two year nursing programs also serve as great stepping stones for those wanting to obtain their BSN. There are many ASN to BSN programs that allow you to earn your bachelor’s in just one year after completing your ASN. With the number of online schools available, you can even earn your BSN while you are already being paid for working as an RN.

Nursing is currently in high demand. With a two year nursing degree, you will be at the forefront of this growing field. You will have many career opportunities in a variety of different environments, such as nursing homes, private practice, and hospitals.
